Art & Science Journal Issue One is now available for purchase! (shhhh! it’s a secret for you insiders, the official launch will be in the next few weeks.)
Price - $6 Click here to purchase
For our first issue of Art & Science Journal, we have included reviews and interviews with artists whose work deals with themes of science, nature and technology.
In this issue: Flora and Fauna, The Clock, Sanjeev Sivarulrasa, Cindy Stelmackowich, Josée Dubeau, Elaine Whittaker, Local Flora, Danica Olders.
I have the delightful opportunity of presenting at Pecha Kucha Volume 6. For this presentation I’m going to be talking about Art & Science Journal the website, our print issue and our plans for the future. Pecha Kucha is a unique form of presentation in that you get to present 20 slides for 20 seconds each. And in between presentations there will be an intermission beer break. So come along, it will be fun!
Issue One Edit
Went over the print issue for a final edit with the A&SJ team yesterday before it heads to the printers :) It looks so fabulous. We’re also planning a launch party! Going to rent out a location and have some fun
We are Starting Work on Issue One!
Met up with the Art & Science Journal team this evening. We’re currently working on the first print issue of Art & Science Journal. The print issue will include reviews, interviews and essays with local artists whose work deals with themes of science, nature and technology. As editor, I’m bringing the magazine together and writing a few pieces. The graphic design (though I’m quite amateur) is one of my favourite parts of putting a publication together. All the tweaking and fiddling and last minute touches will be work, but the end result will be refreshing :)
